I finally remembered another think that pissed me off about Jurassic Park. Whenever the guy would say "Stand still" when they're in front of a T-rex those morons would run.
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.

Fight or Flight...and against a T-Rex, I would probably choose 'flight' if I didn't know any better.DrunkFace wrote:

Well I know that, what I'm asking is what would you do in that situation to survive? The movie obviously had to have tons of scary moments and carnage or nobody would watch it.Uzique wrote:
thank god shifty isn't a thriller/action movie director... his braindead fucking realism would take the fun out of EVERYTHING.
shifty don't you think you're entirely missing the fucking point of these movies you're watching?
if you want realism, go watch some realist drama. jesus christ.

I heard about that one around the time I watched Funny Games (which was strangely disturbing, but I enjoyed it), but I don't know where I would go about renting it... I somehow doubt my local Blockbuster would have it and it's like $30 to buy. Did you buy or rent?jsnipy wrote:

Raiders of the Lost Arc - 9/10
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - 7/10

Conan the Destroyer - 7/10 Mostly due to the awesome one-liners and nostalgia. Other than that, it was pretty dull.
We were soldiers once - 5/10 Good action, but the typical "Yay AMERICA!" hero imaging. Meh.
Crank 2 - 6/10 Erm. What the fuck. Not as speedy and classy as the first one though.
