On Tuesday, Lucasfilm, the studio behind the popular and lucrative “Star Wars” movies, said that it planned to re-release all six live-action movies from that outer-space action franchise in 3-D, from the 1977 original through 2005’s “Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith.” The first film in this 3-D sequence, which 20th Century Fox will release in 2012, will be the 1999 prequel, “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace,” meaning that fans will have to endure a 3-D Jar Jar Binks before they get to see a 3-D X-wing fighter assault on a 3-D Death Star.

The adapting of these films to 3-D (or “stereo exhibition,” as Mr. Knoll said, using the industry term) reopens the question of why 2-D movies need to be transferred to the format at all.

I also adore the line, "Sir, Custar was a pussy, and you ain't".

Equilibrium is a better Kurt Wimmer effort. 1984 and the Matrix made sweet love and out slithered equilibrium. Not a great film, but not terrible. It's got Boromir and that guy who was in that awsome Heath Ledger movie.

That was my first thought, looks so bad that it could be awesome (I'm a big fan of bad movies, but these are a few steps beyond.), but no it was bad on some next level beyond that. I only managed about 45 painful minutes.
