The Iranian elections are in 1-2 years(don't recall) so why are people worrying, Mr Ahmadinejad has caused inflation to rise, massive job losses in Iran, ETC and there is no way i can see him getting re-elected

The law isn't against blogging, that is Morgan's skew. That site was the first thing I thought of when I read the title, then I read the article, and I laughed.

I'm trying to figure out who spends their day reading about what other people did ... and enjoy reading it. I can understand an autobiography because they can be insightful and motivational ... but a day to day blog?

Exactly, for example if they were considering introducing the death penalty for anyone refusing to wash themselves before prayer his thread title would have been...

"Iran Considers Death Penalty For Cleaning Oneself"

He should would work for the Daily Mail tbh.

Ahmadinejad knows about PR.  He won't do that, not in such an outrageous way.

Iran is not like Zimbabwe. Period. Last time they fixed an election in Iran it ultimately spawned a revolution. An Islamic one. The next president will be Rafsanjani. Put a tenner on it.

I can't to be honest, it's a different ball game there. The Mullahs hold the power and from what I've read in the past not all of them are too enamoured with ol' Mahmoud.

Zimbabwe had proper elections as well, the difference is that they were rigged. You could rig an election in the UK, but it would still be a proper election process, people voting.

Erm...really?

Victory of the Principalists (58,6 %) . Defeat of the Reformists (15,8%) whom 90 % were barred from running on the grounds that they were not sufficiently loyal to the regime.
Nope. Nothing to see here. Move along...

According to this article, the Iranian "parliament" is considering a bill that would make creating a website that promotes apostasy, prostitution, and corruption, a crime, punishable by death.  They already hang you with a crane for various reasons, and I really hope Iran has some kind of revolution.  The government of Iran really needs to be overthrown, but not by us.  I'd personally love to shoot Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - I'm suprised nobody took a shot at the fucker when he came over to the US some time ago.

What do you think of this?
sounds fair enough to me, blogs are full of crap anyway, Iran has banned Rap Music aswell, something the world should consider

the Khaleej Times? Someone has too much time on his hands...

Quite frankly, I don't give a damn. I don't live there. They had their revolution to set up an islamic republic, they'll have to face the consequences. I am tired of Iran. These people know the drill. If they don't like what they have gotten themselves into, I suggest another revolution.

At this point, my only hope is that the media declare a coverage embargo, and stop reporting about that ME shithole. I am sick of it.

Are they being hacked at with machetes? Are voters having their identities mapped prior to voting? I think not. They are having their voting choices curbed. Quite different from the case with that old hatchet Mugabe. It was their popular Islamic revolution and that was the system of government they came up with. Mugabe feigns democracy and stacks the cards with force. Iran just have a different system of government. Apples and oranges.

that goodwins law is some real geek shit.  Im gonna make dennis's law.  Any hint of being critical of a persons political views in a forum will be blasted by "goodwin's law"

surpised you said that too, with all your stances on personal freedoms.  I guess it doesnt apply when its not the US that you are criticizing.
