There's a considerable flaw in FEOS's theory.  Jackson isn't the type to usually swallow his pride.  I think this was a genuine case of jealousy on Jackson's part because of his megalomaniacal tendencies.  Essentially, Jackson is an attention whore just like Al Sharpton.  I seriously doubt Jackson would intentionally put himself in a position to look bad.

Besides, Jackson already puts himself in that position often enough through his own foolishness.  The last thing he needs to do is to do it on purpose.

Yet again lowing you prove that you never properly take in what people actually say in opposing arguments. I never said African Americans shouldn't move on from the past and try to make the best of the current situation...I simply said that all the damage done in the apartheid era did not magically disappear with the advent of emancipation. There is nothing to be gained by dwelling on the past (as Jackson appears to love doing) but that does not mean we should attempt to negate the effects the past still has on the present.
