About CPU's.

Which brand is better for gaming?

Intel or AMD?
Please understate yourself.

My personal thought is Intel, because I think they have got a better quality.

At the moment, Intel is the only way to go. Hopefully, that'll change soon.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Waiting for AMD to catch up, but for now, Intel is winning by far.

Depends on how much money you are willing to spend. Keep in mind those monster overclocks you see in reviews and on forums for Intels were done on motherboards that is nearly 200$ or over. You can get away with a 80-120$ board from amd and get respectable overclocks

I've got a 57% oc on a 80€ board, and DU's got a 75% oc on a 60€ board, which he got for free.

And how did you arrive at that conclusion?  Quality I mean.

I agree though, for gaming it's Intel all the way at the moment.

Intel overclocking is also easier than AMD and all you need is a P35 chipset board. (Or a P5x-series Asus board like in my case)

C2D's also get much better OC results than X2's atm.

For now I'd say AMD only wins at server CPUs, mainly because Itel S771 CPUs are horribly expensive compared to AMD's similar.

I've heard that AMD is the better choice for gamers. I've got a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ and I haven't experienced any problems whatsoever.

He is referring to the lack of competition.  Intel as of right now leads in performance but when AMD catches up it will drive prices down for both sides.

Intel has been wining since 2006. AMD was way ahead before that. AMD is starting to get its shit together now but Intel is still in the lead.

They're getting too big. With the lack of competition, they can drive prices sky-high. Just look at the E8500.

AFAIK intel has way better yields than AMD. Therefore I suppose you could say their quality is better

Maybe in the % of bad wafers, but that hardly matters to the end-user.
