[2monthsago]Kay, well I've been using the SkullCandy Full Metal Jackets for 6 months now and they finally crapped out on me, first the wire casing started splitting, then it split some more, then I lost the silicone, now one of the headphones no worky period.[/2months]

So after my headphones died, Dad went was in the states and he picked me up some SC Ink'd phones, $10, and all I can say is utter crap, NO bass at ALL, cheap plastic, HUGE protrusions out of your face(Actually, the FMJ's were worse in protrusions, but their sound was aight.)

Anyways, I've lived between shitty phones and not listening to music, and I'm tired of it, I have (another, I had 4 fillings done this morning) dentist appt August 13th, and I'm told that the TV/headphones aint gonna be fixed, so now I'm headphone hunting.

Preferably buds, wraparound may be ok, but they have to fit into a fairly small for my head fullface helmet
Well built, the actual FMJ headphones were made of win, but the cables were crap and split real easy.
Cheapish, my budget is $50-60 SHIPPED TO CANADA, or local in a Store.
Above average sound quality(iPod headphones are about average, anything that rivals the FMJ's is win.)

I noticed on the Skullcandy site that they made a new version with Metal MESH wiring, but I'm willing to be that there's at least one person on here that's gonna bitch at SC for the devil that it is, for that one fag disgruntled user, what SHOULD I get.

Wherever you post links to for pricing MUST ship to Canada and conform to the $60 limit.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but every google search led me to a different model, and I never thought to go to the site

Edit, one thing I just realized, I'm using terminoligy wrong.

As meh as Buds are, methinks what I want are in-ear phones, not sure what the FMJ's are classified under, but that's what I'm lookin for.

That's why I (attempted to) emphasized the $60 Shipped, cuz Sure I can get those, but with shipping and all that, even if I find a cheaper place, they'll add up to more like 80.

Sennheiser CX-95s are the best in-ear buds for below $200 ( if you don't believe me, go read up reviews ); but I guess they are a tad too expensive for you, so go with the CX300s - solid bass yet sometimes seriously lacking in midtones.

Look at Dennon and Jays before you go out and buy, the Denon and Jay earphones are seriously solid ones, some coming with dual micro armatures. The D-Jays are really good earphones, too bad they are a tad over your budget.

Hmmm, looks like I might actually go with the FMJ's again.

Wow, second time I've done this this month, ask for advice on forums, get a single store/product that everyone's raving over, then ignore it outright.

Local Stores now sell them for $50 which is a steal to last year when they were $70.

I'm choosign them because I myself can vouch for the quality, they have what I like/need, the reviews are good too, they look nice(Imo, the CX*00's look like crap dolla store phones).

One thing that pisses me off tho is that the official SkullCandy site lists a new model of em with a braided steel mesh cable, but neither the local stores nor do Amazon carry them, and the official site no ship to Canada.

I decided to go for a quick ride to the local bike shop today to check out what tires they got, and on my way back I decided to stop by Future Shop(Canadian Circuit city of sorts) On the way to FS, I calmly walked my bike in to 3 different stores a various sizes, and the worst I got was a manager tell me "Yoo no have lock bike?"(She was Asian) and I'm thinkin {No, i don;t have a lock, but even if i did, when i come back, my baike aint gonna have no seat, tires or chain cuz of the quickrelease}.

Anyways, I get to Future shop, calmly head over to the headphone section, theres some fat dude typin away at a computer, he finishes up, looks at me and he's liek "Dude, sry but you can;t have your bike in here" 2 minutes later we're still conversing about how a bike gets in the way of the 5 foot wide aisles. and at this point I'm thinkin {If you stopped being an asshole for all of half a second to think, I could looked at my headphones and been on my way, but NOOOOOOO}

P.S. The section I was in within Future shop where he caught me WAS actually the headphones I was lookin at the Aisles, but being the gay fags that they are, they put the Buds on the exact opposite side of the wall.

Skullcandy has another earbud brand. I got them for about 50 bucks, they have excellent bass, and are even more flush with your head. The wire up to about an inch from the earbuds is also wrapped in rubber, so it wont split. I audio tested the FMJ and this one, they were near identical, only difference was it was plastic.
