Well, the moral of that story is to ALWAYS remind Grandma to exercise her second amendment right to bear arms and defend her home against intruders, that way she will live to be able to bake delicious sugar cookies for you when you come visit her.............er somethin' like thatMek-Stizzle wrote:
What is the point of stories like Red Riding Hood and shit anyway, I never understood the point then and I still don't. I thought it was stupid back then and I still do!
Waste of time reading that shit to kids

Of course you do. An environment of fear is easier for a Big Brother to shepherd around."You don't want to scare children too much and create an environment of fear," he said.

The entire point of those stories was to teach kids to find those meanings out themselves, adding in the warning kind of defeats the purpose of even having the story there in the first place. How is it that these people don't even realise that the stories ARE the warning? For example, children would be warned not to talk to people they don't know as Little Red Riding Hood did with the Big Bad Wolf; not to walk around unsupervised like Goldilocks; and not to enter unknown houses like Hansel and Gretel.

He made one mistake actually. Well two, the Children Overboard issue and Work Choices.TrollmeaT wrote:
Damn I'm behind the times then, a shame he sounds like the leader I wanted. O well disregard my post then lol!
I prefer Rudd in the sense that he's not as much of a lackey to American interests as Howard is, but his nanny state tendencies have started to disturb me.Flecco wrote:

I still think much of what he did with work choices was needed. Just got demonised by our local communist/socialist/union controlled/Labor party.
Pity Kevin Rudd isn't at all the change he promised.

I see... Well, becoming a republic doesn't sound so bad.Flecco wrote:
Nah it isn't. Nanny state is basically what Labor does here so I was expecting it. And tax. They like tax. They do balance out some of the shit the Libs tend to pull though. Kinda keep each other in balance,lLabor fucks the economy and the libs fix it, then the libs screw up certain social issues and labor fixes them. Rudd is probably going to push for the republic issue to be back on the agenda soon though.
