The ignorance comes from not locking your house when you leave, not having someone check on your house, not having someone pick up your mail while your gone, and blabbing about where your going all over town, (or from the sound of it, her own son must have done that). That said, he should be charged with trespassing and petty theft and get tons of community service.

Some people should be shot, some people dont deserve the right to live with the rest of us. Luckily no one got hurt, this guy doesnt sound like the brightest person in the world, and I have no remorse for criminals except for the hit on my tax money spent keeping them well fed and in better health than most minimum wage working families.

I actually considered writing a check out for the cost of two bullets to the guy who shot his neighbors burglars in Texas

the circumstances are different, but I do admit, I would sleep just fine if the outcome of this situation was a little more finite.

Throw him in jail for awhile. Make him pay to clean up the mess(I wouldn't suggest having him do it personally unless the owners didn't mind having him back in their home to do it).

Sounds like he has some mental problems. Maybe get that looked at.

first, this instance and the event that transpired in texas are completely different. in my opinion, neither are/would be a justified shooting.
no ones LIFE was at risk. that is the ONLY situation where lethal force is acceptable.

of course, i have different views on property than others here. oh, i worry...and i keep a 20ga for that specific reason. but i wont take someones life for property. i have seen the effects of gunshots, and i dont want that on my conscience over a television. i can also see the police station from my front door, so i dont have as much reason to be concerned as others.

no better solution in my opinion, but it doesnt work so well for residential.
in any case, if you ever level your gun at someone, be prepared to take a life. wounding and trying to disarm someone is for the pros/movie stars.

Sorry, that just isn't me.

I live in a subdivision in the mountains, my home is the first on the street, and probably will be for awhile now since the market is shit. My nearest neighbor is about 1/8 of a mile away. I have a very nice house with a wrap around porch. IT is not a hut. I own only 3 guns, me and my wife both work  so there is nobody at home usually to set off the claymores :rollseyes: even if there were any.

Since I am in Iraq, and waiting for our shit to get here to start work, I spend my day on the internet or the gym or the phone calling my family.

The only thing ya got right is there are bears around, but we do not lie awake at night worrying about it.

Now, since you are so far off the mark about my life, lets see how close I came ot yours.

You do not own a home, you do not have much in possessions, you do not have a family that counts on you, you do not have a job, and you are probably in school. You have a MYSPACE account where you spend your time chatting with friends about how much you think you know about real life.
