Ok this is just my rant cuz im sick of it.

about 10 min ago while i was playing as USMC on Wake. i was in a F-35, i lined up perfectly behind a J-10 which was attacking one of my choppers (i had bombs out so he didnt know i was there). so i switched to missiles and waited for him to deploy flares. he didnt. he was so intent on getting the chopper he just flew straight. so i fired 2 missiles a small gap then 1 more.

so my first 2 missiles go straight past the J-10 which was the perfect distance and perfect position and straight into my teams chopper and i end up with like 4 TK's. the other missile continues past the J-10 like it is not even there and god only knows where the hell it went.

so i mean WTF. i know u'll say "U shouldve just used your cannon". but if ive got missiles i might as well use them. this is obviously not the first time this has happened to me... but im just fucking sick of it. it seems the Chinese have developed the perfect heatseeking missile and the Americans must have got a bomb and strapped a bottle of diet coke and mentos to it.

This is why I like pubbing in jets less and less. Work so hard to get behind a circling J10 only to have every missle slide off.

Then just fly the J10, I find, On the rare occasion i DO shoot down a J10, its just from spamming cannon and unlocked missiles when im practically a meter behind them. Then just dont let the Pesky J10 back in the air

*miss*ile is right. Just learn to use them tactically (tail the enemy stealthily), waiting for the right moment...and use cannons as much as possible.

You're right though, they are frustrating sometimes, and missiles do have a tendency to bounce off J10s and Eurofighters.

Depends on my angle. Sometimes it takes 2 missle fired, sometimes 1 (if im using the MG) and sometimes 6+. Most the time it takes 3 missile's fired.

yer i prefer flying the J-10. but i dont swap to chinese just to use them. it annoys me when ppl do that.

If you are chasing a enemy plane for example and there is a friendly near by the missiles can sometimes go for the friendly's thats what probably happen. If the j10 was alone you probably would have gotten it.

I stoped flying the j10 a long time ago like when i was Lt. I dont fly j10's anymore. Mostly f35.

yer probably. but still i was right behind red hot jet engines and the heatseeker goes straight past them for a chopper. which as far as im aware was not only further away but gives off less heat.

Yeah I hate it too, and what I hate most about flying jets is that the F35 is the only one I can properly fly with, until somebody gets on your tail and it will turn into Hitboxes [owned] RDMC

Just use the lock on glitch tbh.
Haven't played bf2 in months but it goes something like: get behind them in bomb view then quickly switch to missiles and let 4 go. First will miss rest hit, unless the deploy flares crazy early.
