So Tonite I was draining the liquid coolant in my computer, and defiling it with new coolant...   So I'm about to close the case when I see a small puddle...    I look at the pump and the out hose (where it goes into the system) and it's leaking...  Well I know I can use a temp fix like tape but I know that puts my computer at the mercy of a shitty piece of tape....

I rip the hose off looking for some way to fix it... It's like a shitty seal and a rubber hose.... No way to replace (and tbh not worth it)     so I spent a while stripping it off the door, cleaning it up and shit...

Now my 3Ghz Amd CPU has no cooling...  I have to order a fan for it, it's Sunday and it will probably be Wensday before I get it     and onwensday I need to remove the mobo from the case and remove cards and shit... That will be a lot of work

Oh and I had to remove that plastic piece off the board for a custom clip     anyway to attach that with screws? Or reattach it?

At least Its the begining of the weekend, I have a girlfriend who loves me, a fridge full of food, good parents a licence and no braces... Oh and it's summer...

But can u guys tell me how I can install a fan and link me some good CPU fans? (<100$)

Or could someone say something to cheer me up? (srsly)    because it's a sereious drag (I know it could be worse)

And no making fun of me or my sichuation please

(btw all of this typedon my iPhone)  (oh and pix tomorrow)

Besides, I hate to have Icelandic in computers and electrical devices, I prefer English.

Why are you going to waste money on a new cooler, when you could just fix your WC?

If the pump is leaking, buy a new pump. They're not that expensive. Buy all new hoses & clamps, and you're good to go.

Can actually bring temps below ambient temperature without water cooling

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Because I don't overclock anymore... And the WC has made me spend hours on it (refil, cleaning, reattaching waterblock on new mobo) and I'm just tired of the hassle, it also leaked before and almost destroyed a $150 soundcard

And at the people giving me shit for "butchering" words, the iPhone auto corrects and I have to press this thing above the word before I space or it corrects it....      Mobo auto corrects to mobi, fucking corrects to ducking    any weird words and it corrects to something it thinks it could be.  So don't derail my thread bitching about iPhone spell checks without giving anything to the thread that's useful.

Any more fans?   Can anyone tell me if I can attach that fan plastic thingy?

I get temps of 29c at idle, 45 at load. It's great.

(This is for the V1, the first one)

processor?   And how big is it in your case? I have a lot of wires...

edit: It looked like it had special mounting pins, does that mean I wouldnt use the stock plastic thing? (That would be good news, because I dont know how to reattach it)

E6600 @ 3.2 GHz. If it gets these speeds when OC'd, I can't imagine what something at stock would. My case is moderately big...Antec 900. You also don't need to take out the mobo to install it, unlike many others. And yes, it comes with it's own mounting-bracket.

Q6700  - Idle- 30C
2.8GHz - Load- 42C

My case doesn't have as good airflow as others, only 2x120MM, but the thing gets shit done.

Here's the best I can do to cheer you up: Your cooler system broke, your components aren't waterlogged and takes one not-too-expensive piece to fix it all up to snuff. Your situation isn't all that bad.

Go for a walk with your girlfriend, or a few, or horizontally, or something outside while the cooler comes. On that note, don't push it. Wait for the cooler to come for your PC to be up again, don't risk anything.

I'm at work so I can't check, but I think the hottest mine got (E6400 at stock speed) was 52C, but that's with the fan turned way down to quiet mode. With fan on full it barely gets above ambient.

I removed all my case fans, now it's just the fans on the CPU and GPU (Zalman cooler too) and the PSU fan is the only exhaust. But I might have to put the case fan back when summer comes.

I got the copper coloured one, not the black one BTW. Blue LED, looks good, but that's not why I bought it.
