Well, he did do a great job in I Am Legend. Props to him for that.

This entire thread is an argument about Will Smith.
His performance in the insomniac was very impressive - but he does play all his roles in quite a similar manner. I'd like to see him getting typecast less and playing a totally different character in a totally different way.Volatile wrote:
His acting is american psycho is superior to anything that most on that list have done, imo.MGS3_GrayFox wrote:
Christian Bale not on the list?
What has he done? How about Beverly Hills Cop - that was awesome. Eddie Murphy is clearly very talented, but extremely lazy. All his newer (live action) films have been awful, and it seems to be because he just can't be bothered to put the energy into his performance that he used to.BlackKoala wrote:

I Robot
Hitch
Bad Boys 2
Shark Tales
Ali (he was quite good in it, but film was shit)
Legend of Bagger Vance
Hancock
So lots.

Oh shit. I didnt know that.
I guess all he needs to do is jump on a couch on some Female talk show and and proclaim how much he loves some beeeach and he's a 100% Scientologist.

Christian Bale should be on the top of that list for the sole reason that being John Conner and being a well known actor should get you lots of fucking money.
LOL at Eddie Murphy, just remember "The Adventures of Pluto Nash"
Also you all forgot about Smiths other newer movie The Pursuit of Happiness, that was a great movie.
Old Tommy Cruise was canned from his newest movie because he demanded $80mil for it, they laughed at him and told him to pound sand.

I think he probably will be soon. He wasn't as well known before, but after TDK blockbuster and the new Terminator he probably will be.Poseidon wrote:

http://www.hollywood.com/news/Smith_Tur … id/3591886Smith has said he has studied multiple religions including Scientology and he has said many complimentary things about Scientology and other faiths. He and his wife are close friends of prominent Scientologists Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, which has led to rumors that Smith is also a Scientologist. Although Smith has said, "I just think a lot of the ideas in Scientology are brilliant and revolutionary and non-religious."[24][25] and, "Ninety-eight percent of the principles in Scientology are identical to the principles of the Bible.... I don't think that because the word someone uses for spirit is 'thetan' that the definition becomes any different", he has denied having joined the Scientology Church, saying "I am a Christian. I am a student of all religions, and I respect all people and all paths."
Edit: Oh & http://entertainment.uk.msn.com/news/ar … id=7843428He says, "I've talked to Tom about it--(there's) lots of incredible, wonderful concepts (but, my wife) Jada (Pinkett Smith) and I don't necessarily believe in organized religion.

Ironically I liked all of those. Hated Hancock though. I mean, it started out pretty good, then went to hell...Dauntless wrote:

Christian Bale will never make that list because he isn't at all a sellout. He acts mostly in relatively low budget/low profile movies. Batman Begins put him in the spotlight, really. That and The Prestige. Besides that, he's been pretty low profile.
