Seems like some one who knows is talking.  Or someone known is just talking.  You decide...

Eh, you won't find sophisticated alien life without having one-cell forms first. No one simply appears. It's called evolution, and it applies to outer space too.

Aliens would never come to Earth of the sake of coming here. If they did they would try to turn it into a giant crystal of the mineral that powers them yet gradually kills us off until one day we detonate their crystal prematurely, bring them down to earth then rape their asses with railguns.

And since my sex-organs still work I'm gonna presume that this hasn't happen yet so the aliens haven't arrived.

Unless you count the ones from Cuba, they arrive every day.

Dementedly colorful with a happy ending...  To the Cuba fact.. As long as their legal I extend my hand welcoming them.

Evolution?  I never said aliens magically appeared, but you are absolutely correct.  So who says we evolved first?

Aliens would travel billions of light years to visit our planet...and then crash land in the desert? Uh, yeah...no. UFO's/Crop Circles = biggest hoax of the past few centuries.

Do I believe there's intelligent/enhanced life out there? You bet. Do I believe they've ever visited us? No way.

I'm actually surprised McCain has kept so much of his mind despite being in his 70s, unlike this nutter.

I'd bet it's statistically impossible for us to be the only consciousness in the universe.  At least 100 billion galaxies, containing countless solar systems, containing countless planets and moons.

100 billion that we know.

So then we could agree that there has to be something else out there.  And the would it be probable for the other life form to have the technology to travel through time and space and locate us?

Should an extra terrestrial from of life contact us or come to earth, chances are they would be benign.  In order to embrace the technology required for inter celestial travel, a society would have to 1) survive a technological adolescence which we are presently in the middle of (one which could arguably destroy many species before they truly get to a 'space traveling' stage) and 2) perform fairly strict population control/peaceful government policies as it would be very difficult to sustain a scientific program so advanced while trying to support a growing population and fighting amongst each other.  I think that it'd be a safe bet to assume that there are lifeforms out there who are possibly capable of intergalactic travel, but even if they exist within our galaxy or in a nearby galaxy, the radio waves transmitted by our radios, televisions and other activities would take decades to get to their planet (assuming that they were listening) because the signals are limited by the speed of light, and they could be hundreds of light years away.

I'd say it's almost definite that there is some form of consciousness besides our own.  Whether they have the tech to come by and say hi?  I don't know. there could be galactic hillbillies like us.  there could be a million worlds like ours, and they would only occupy 0.000000000001% of habitable planets.  who knows?

If you are not scared by reading:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_paradox

I am not saying, that I know that there are others out there, but I have no problem accepting the thought that there might be others.
If they visited us - maybe - maybe they just did not want to contact us/a bunch of warmongering savages - or they are senisible enough to avoid influencing our society/development - or worried about "alien" (for both of us) microbes and the like.
