He's probably old and going a little crazy. As for other life in the universe, chances are it does exist. Chances are it's some dull stain under a rock somewhere and we'll not detect it before humanity gets wiped out.

He's promoting the new X-files movie sillies.

This guy was doing ESP experiments while on the moon?

He also apparently cured his cancer with "remote healing".

1 in 482.. one of them was bound to lose it as the senility set in.

I voted probes...

Wasn't sure if I was voting for alien butt probes or not? Hmm, was I? Never been but I did have my colon checked by a doctor once, it was rather uncomfortable.

And you still went for the colon option? BTW I've never gone.. I figure they are going to have to give me a heavy sedative of some sorts when I do .

No, not a heavy one. My doctor used a very mild one, just kept me sleeping vor 10 minutes - ok, had to stay there a bit longer to rest it out completely, but when I left I was fully there again.

Really? You dont think there could be aliens out there? Out of the billions of planets? The chance of them having ever visited earth is minute but the chance of them existing elsewhere in the galaxy is far from small.

I wasn't even offered a sedative, just a camera on the end of a metal snake.

I am thinking, it wouldn't matter if they did or didn't exist. The chances of them visiting here are near-zero (time & space reasons; not to mention motive or finding a needle in a haystack reasons) - and thus that's the only way they'd deserve the moniker; name; label; "alien." I think they have to visit here to earn the name. I am with m3thod on this, I don't believe in them either because I don't think they've ever visited here, and I've never seen any proof (of visitation) other than utter nonsense. Being agnostic about the possibility of life beyond earth is one thing, but it's a bit nutters to believe in "aliens."

This isn't a case of I cant see god therefore he doesn't exist. This is a case of statistical analysis showing the odds of extra terrestrial life existing somewhere in the galaxy regardless of whether they could even visit us which is unlikely based on the statistics and the average distance there should be between life in the universe.

And if you don't believe there could be other life based on odds of life existing on a habitable planet, and the odds of habitable planets existing out of planets in general, and the odds of suns having planets out of suns in general out there, then I don't see how you think we got here, unless you believe in God creating us and holding us special above all other life, which is blatant shit in my opinion.

The aliens are obviously using advanced neo-space-age technology to try and control our minds. Unfortunately for the aliens, they miscaclulated the complexity of our cerebral cortexes and medulla oblongatas, and are only able to interrupt motor skills. That explains the shakiness of the video. Furthermore, it also explains the "old people or hillbillies" - older folks often have weaker brains, as do hillbillies.

DUH.

He does realise his equation is gobbledegook right? He is just multiplying several irrelevant factors such as how many stars form per year, what matters is how many stars there are, not how many form. Then he claims 50% of stars form planets, which according to what I know is totally wrong, its a much smaller percentage, then he claims 2 planets a star can support life, which seems odd as its closer to 1 in 10,000 planets, then apparently if a planet can support life it does... again what? no wrong. 20% of all life is intelligent? Thats strange seeing as there are 1.6 million species on earth and only one is classified as intelligent. The last two maybe right because we have no way of showing otherwise apart from our own development.

The major problem with the equation is that first factor, the number of stars formed has very little relevance in comparison with how many stars there are in total.

His estimate of 10,000 is 9,999 too many in this galaxy.

little green men...

keep in mind that a sophisticated alien race would have been created by natural selection, and therefore would have to be one of the smartest and strongest creatures on the planet, able to survive sufficiently well without advanced technology.

I don't doubt the existence of aliens, but they would have to be similar or superior to humans in physical and mental capacity.
