It's about anger & rage. As far as I understood it. It also to do with racism.

The film tries to make you sympathise with lowlifes. No I didn't care some black robber got curb stomped and I didn't care that some teen nazi got shot the fuck up in the bathroom

It was good for what it was though, entertainment.
