25 days + a maximum of 18 flexi days if you work up the hours.
2 weeks of vacation, 1 week of personal time, so relly, 3 weeks. Not sure what it jumps to next year. I think I get a month at 5 years (been with the company 2+).
Woohoo for the U.S. Military.
I earn 2.5 days of leave (Vacation) every month, and can now keep a total of 75 days until sometime next year. Then it goes back to 60 days.
And I can "sell back" my days of leave when I get out of the Navy or reenlist.

Earn 30 days per year, can carry up to 60...and never get to take the 30 in a year.

Funny thing is, my wife sees my leave balance and says "take some leave".
I tell her, "I can't right now".
"But you've got 43 days of leave on the books!"
She doesn't understand that just because I have them on the books doesn't mean I can take them any damn time I please. You'd think she'd figure it out after 13+ years...

There'll be plenty of wars after you're dead - someone else will look after them then like they can look after them when you're on leave - take the frigging leave.I tell her, "I can't right now".
4 weeks annual leave, ~1 week public holidays, 2 weeks sickies.
Still haven't got the hang of taking the sickies, I guess I'm not properly Australian yet.
Fuck Israel
its not up to the service member when he or she wants to take leave.Dilbert_X wrote:

I have my own business. So basically, none.
Except lately... I get a day off here and there. Like today I finished up everything to do by 10:00 AM, because there's no fucking volume of work to be had, at the moment.

Im a Lab Technitian and get 20 days a year vacation, with +2 a year if your not sick once..
5 weeks but then i work 3 weeks and 1 free rest of the year so i´m not at work that much.
This out of nowhere but, whenever I see your forum name at first glance it reads mad-manure in my mind. Every time!
I get 11 days vacation and 9 company holidays.

Do you actually work at being this clueless, or does it come naturally?Dilbert_X wrote:

I'm about to take two weeks to attend my best friend's funeral.
The scenario I provided was generic, speaking to the fact that just because you have vacation stored up, the workload and associated deadlines doesn't always allow you to take it when you want.

I don't get any, but thats because i'm part time.
The minimum here is 4 weeks (20 days) per year, with no ceiling - if your employer wants to give you 30 weeks a year holiday leave they can.
Christmas and Boxing days off, as well as NYE and the 2nd of January - I plan to take the days in between, as well as a few after 1/1/09 & 2/1/09

I don't get traditional vacation time since I'm a contractor.

I am a process engineer for a weapons manufacturer. I work part time (25 hours a week) because I also attending the university full time (BS Mechanical Engineering). When I am full time I get 3 days off for each holiday (a day before, day of, day after), and 3 weeks of vacation at a time of my choosing.
You get four weeks paid vacation working 16 hours a week? Does that mean they pay you for 16 hours each vacation week?FatherTed wrote:

I'm confused, but I also think you are confused.
