hi

just finished what was a bit of a nightmare build; specs below.

So basically at various times, generally when i close it, i am getting blue screens nearly everytime with cod4. I've had 2 errors.

1. PAGEFAULT IN NON PAGE AREA

2. IRQL LESS OR EQUAL
(or something along those lines anyway ..)

both say it's caused by nvdisp_4.dll

Assuming this was drivers i reinstalled them but no luck. No overclocks or anything atm everything be running stock.

thanks

Could be anything. My vote is RAM or video card.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Memtest 86+
Start there.  Asus motherboards are fun when it comes to memory

Did you have your new mobo a couple of days ago?

If you just reformatted, make sure you've got all drivers.

nvdisp_4.dll looks like video display to me. Especially with that IRQL error. Like Freezer said, make sure you have all your drivers. Do a full installation from your video card's setup disc, then get the latest from their site.

nv4disp_4.dll is the nVidia driver.

Install from the disk then install new drivers over the top? or remove the old ones before?

Asus boards are good but they can be a pain in the ass depending on the model.

Asus boards are known for having memory compatability issues and problems with older bios versions.

I have exactly the same bsods. Although my bsods can hit anytime, not just while playing cod4.
