Do they actually blind you like in cs/bf2?

When detonated, the fuse/grenade body assembly remains intact and produces no fragmentation. The body is a steel hexagonal tube with holes along the sides which allow a blast of light and sound to be emitted. This is done to prevent injury from shrapnel but it is still possible to receive a burn, and injuries resulting from the concussive properties of the detonation sometimes occur, the intense heat created by the flashbang can also ignite flammable materials such as fuel or certain fabrics.
The flash of light momentarily activates all photosensitive cells in the retina, making vision impossible for approximately five seconds until the eye restores the retina to its original, unstimulated state. Subjects affected by flashbangs describe seeing a single frame for the five seconds (as if their vision was "paused") until it fades and normal sight returns. This is because the sensory cells which have been activated continue sending the same information to the brain until they are restored to their resting state, and the brain translates this continuous information into the same image. The incredibly loud blast emitted by the grenade contributes to its incapacitative properties by disturbing the fluid in the semicircular canals of the ear.

Hmm has anyone actually experienced a flashbang explode in your face?
I've heard plenty of times that the worse sensation from a flash bang is actually the bang.
Incidentally, a security guard for the Pope while he was in Aus accidentally detonated a flash bang. He was on the outside perimeter of the Popes temp residence, was holding one as it went off. He burnt his hand and was taken to hospital, but everyone in the area thought a gunshot had been fired. lol

the blinding light is made by some sort of burning magnesium

Sounds like COD4's imitation of the effects of a flashbang were actually pretty accurate.Tehremos wrote:

When I was in the SAS, everyday they would put you in a room and threw a flashbang in, so that you became impervious to them.Ayumiz wrote:

MI6 taught me that the best way to avoid getting affected by a flashbang is to think about lemons
I eat SBS for breakfast. And guess what it's breakfast time. The Sheriff wrote:
