Check that it's connected properly, and make sure Windows is set to the correct keyboard layout. Should read "En" in the lower right corner of your screen.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

It's the keyboard on the laptop. Plugging in my Saitek works fine, which is quite weird. There's no En in the bottom left.. not even when I expand the taskbar icons.

Went into the Control Panel and all the language settings are on English (United Kingdom) and the keyboard drivers are saying it's all working fine..

You have to be kidding me, LOL.

Having not used a laptop in a while I did not know of this.
