Hello guises

Well, I've got a problem. I searched for some similar topics but nothing was found, so yeah.
My problem is, that everything I try to download via uTorrent and some torrentsiteiwonttellyoubecauseiwouldhurtthebf2rules, is freaking slow.

I get 30-60kb/s, sometimes (rarely) the download speed goes up to 100 or 150 but then down again.
I tried to change the upload limit from 12kb/s, to 30kb/s and to 60kb/s but nothing really happend.

I wouldn't really care if I'd download a single CD but the thing is I'm trying to download something that has 3,42GB and it'll take years with that speed.

That, or it's just a crap tracker.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

When you first install uTorrent it should scan your ports to make sure they're open.

Thanks for the suggestions but this fgt who installed my internet hasn't left any documents and there's no brand name or something on the router itself..

Ok, I'm slowly getting there.

I guess my router's a netopia 3000, I've found that when I entered my getaway into the browser (which I found in the cmd)

So yeah, now, the question of the questions is:

What the fuck is my logon or my PW? lmfao

Kay guys. I'm at the final step to get a static IP.

Any idea's how I can find out what my DNS server is? Because CMD says it's the same like my IP which has to be wrong. Right?

Did all. It's still slow

Geschwindigkeit (=speed)
    6400/640 (kbps)

I get download speed of 40kb/s-70kb/s

I made some speed checks and they said I'd have much more

..

Try downloading some large file from a fast server (Like 3Dmark06 from techpowerup), is that slow? Try downloading a server-supported torrent, like this BF2 1.41 patch, is that slow? If neither of those are slow, you're simply downloading from slow torrents. If both of them are slow, your internet is shit. If the torrent is slow, you gotta fix your ports open.

I got 340-360kb/s by downloading this shit off techpowerup...

And also the same speed with the BF2 patch.

Then you're only downloading from poor trackers with bad torrents. Get onto a decent tracker, like TorrentLeech.

Case closed.

How awesome is that. Now I got fucking 45% of that fucking torrent and it took me such a long time.

Should I start another 3,42GB or just leave this one finish? Thanks for the torrent suggestion btw

3 other tips:

- go to preferences -> BitTorrent and set the "Maximum number of connected peers per torrent" to 500 or something. It's possible that you are only connected to bad seeders.
- also at preferences -> BitTorrent disable DHT. Some trackers don't like it.
- preferences -> BitTorrent again, enable (or disable) encryption. Perhaps your ISP is watching you.
