Also, how do you extract files from winRAR to make me fly my planes?
Open the case up. Check that the little Molex thingy is plugged into your CD DriveSEREVENT wrote:

Or it could be a driver/software problem. Or it could be a mechanical problem and your CD drive is fucked
Right click. Extract here then move the files to the appropriate folders (read the instructions)SEREVENT wrote:

I can't be bothereddddddddddd. I'd rather sit here in boredom than go down the stairs, find a screwdriver, open it up, look around, then screw it back in.
But, +1 for your help.

Yeah it's probably not even the problem
Yeah. Now what?Mek-Stizzle wrote:

When i click the button if i listen closely i hear a ticking noise, like one tick.
Is it possible that the thingy fell out?
Sounds like your CD drive is fucked or there's something stuck in there. I shouldn't say this but try and force it open with something, it might free up anything that's stuck and it'll start working again. Or it might make things worse. For me it's usually made things better.
And it's not really possible that the molex thing fell out

Anyway thanks for your help.
Anyway thanks for your help.
Didn't they have something called emergency ejection or something?
A hole to put in a nail/needle and it would unlock the tray to simply slide open?

There's a small hole somewhere near the trail, try pushing a paper clip in to it and it should open.
It didn't work with a needle...tupla_s wrote:

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
It's supposed to open no matter what, but unless you got something stuck in there. (The needle ejection whole thing.)
correct, paper clip is the way to goalexbay13 wrote:

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Yeah, try with a paper clip, it's bigger, and it fits.haffeysucks wrote:

I can't stress this statement enough. For the love of goodness, never open your cdrom via the pin hole while the computer is still on. I've seen several times where people have done this and the cdrom opens with the disk still spinning and it come flying out. It's like have a razor blade thrown at you.
