This is true, especially now that lower end x58s aint all that expensive and triple channel DDR3 is affordable now. Am hoping to see some new x58s myself, I believe gigabyte have a revised board coming soon.

I believe they got delayed. Asus P6TX58 Premiuym for example was cancelled because all the SATA 6Gb/s controller chips are faulty. Same reason why Gigabyte boards aren't showing up either.
