So I finially began working on the audio part to my ongoing home theatre build (that started a few months back), and went for the Yamaha RX-V3800.  Fantastic looking thing, goes with all the gear superb, and, even with the shitty speakers I still havent replaced, there was a clear jump in clarity between it, and my old denon 3802.

The other day, I went to start it up to watch a movie and it's stone dead.  No stand-by light, no nothing.  Changed the plugs, the fuse etc and no dice.  No responces to the remote, or, using the pannel.  All the switches are on, its been tried in sockets on the other side of the appartment and it wont power on.

Unfortunetly, am in the UK at the moment, so I cant check any potential solutions anyone may have, but, more importantly, does anyone have something I can try when I go back home? :\  Am ever so slightly pissed about it.

First: I love my Yamaha.
Second: Wires may have shortcuted and the system shut down so it doesn't overload. Impedance also set properly?

As far as I know Yamaha has its own reset system but you will need to have it unplugged from wall socket for a whole week, after a week of no power it will reset itself.

Hmmm alright thanks fellas.  I unplugged the whole thing before I left on sunday, so, by the time I get back saturday(ish), if your suggestion works then it will have done it by then sup.  If not, I'll just RMA it like Jenspm said.
