It was due out today and nothing says anything about anywhere, not even the nVidia website.
what is it?

I saw something like that when looking for CUDA drivers the other day. Check that section.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Yeah, but that's only for the 9-series and up. They don't have official CUDA drivers for the 8-series and that's the main thing this update is gonna bring. I already tried the beta ones with the modded .inf file and they fuck up movie playback and make it laggy.Freezer7Pro wrote:

?? I think I'm using official CUDA drivers for my 8800GTS 512 but I could be wrong. Either way, no problems in any games or even HD video playback._j5689_ wrote:

Can't wait for PhysX.
What version are your drivers?SpIk3y wrote:

Well, there's a preview of it this morning with some tech explanations and some benchmarks:

BUT WHY HAVEN'T THEY RELEASED IT YET

I'm running 8 series CUDA drivers on my GT as I'm on the F@H team, I think they've got nothing to do with enabling ingame Physx support though. I've noticed nothing different in games, though TBH I'm not sure what games use Physx, I've not given it much attention.

I think what you are looking for comes out in September. Part of Nvidia' "Big Bang II".
PhysX - who cares

It's no good without the supporting drivers, I can't enable it from the PhysX properties panel.
nVidia doesn't have anything newer than 175.19 for my card (8600GT), at least not on the website. Only 177 drivers have any PhysX support and they don't have any official 177 drivers for the 8600GT yet. I wonder what drivers the guy you linked me to had.

Srsly man this thread is for Nvidia whores only.
Yes they do, on the CUDA zone. I use 177.35 on 8600gt. And there is a newer version out too._j5689_ wrote:

main battle tank karthus medikopter 117 megamegapowershot gg
I FOUND THEM
Thanks to this thread:

It appears Evga has already had them up since the 29th.

The only thing is that they aren't digitally signed but who cares.
I can say now: that the new ones do not fuck up playback.

Damn this is confusing. Are the 177.79 drivers (the new ones) CUDA drivers? I need CUDA to fold...
Yeah, make sure you download them from the link I got, those are the official ones.SpIk3y wrote:

Some other sites have the official beta ones and I'm like wtf? Oxymoron like shit.
