I have connecter on my graphics card - similar looking to the connectors of chassis fans and the like on the main board - close to the SLI connector. (I may be using connector but meaning port, I am not sure..   )

It is a Sparkle 8800GT (not a Cool Pipe version).

i cannot find any pics online but might be able to make one myself when I am at home again.

Edit: No cable fitting this port was supplied in the retail package, it is not mentioned in the manual either.

Probably just a port for some other configuration using the same PCB.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

And what kind of thingy would it power? The "big" PCI-e power line is already plugged in.

(Felt strange as it had only one power inlet, my old 6x00 wanted two, power hungry bitch...)
