No homo, what I do is spend a lot of time outside when the weather just starts getting warmer, that way when the actual summer comes and you're outside a lot, you don't sunburn; but turn a nice maple syrupy brown. (Quoting Johnny Drama here)
Whenever I go on holiday I just take the essential suncream (for prevention) and aftersun (for after the massacre). I think after-sun is basically just a mixture of 'soothing' aloe vera oils and the like as well as moisturiser and stuff to keep the skin from causing you any more discomfort. Definite holiday / in-the-sun must haves in my opinion!

"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
I never get burned. Nor do I get brown. I just stay a white nerd no matter how much time I spend in the sun. On a recent trip, I spent 14 (technically) hours straight in the sun one day, and at least five every day after for a week. Got a wee bit of a tan on my arms, but that's about it.
I guess nerds who spend 10/12 of the year inside are immune to the sun.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Maybe you're an albino. And keep in mind the UV index has a lot to do with whether or not you'll burn
I don't have red eyes and white hair.Tripulaci0n wrote:

Also, mom fries after an hour.

Nein. It depends quite much on the time of year from which angle the sun is shining to the atmosphere. I was 2 weeks in december at the canarie isles and got zero tan (some dumbass tho, got a really cool redneck-panda tan by using no lotion and having them pilot shades on the nose for the whole time. got a good laugh at the airport on the way back home). A couple weeks back I spent around 2hrs on a boat without my shirt and got very much tan. And normally I'm a healthy pale boi tooFreezer7Pro wrote:

trust me....
A cold tap is freezing cold to us. Most Aussies don't even know what snow feels like.Nappy wrote:

Find the right doctor. My buddy got a really bad sunburn and got a Rx for some vicodin to help with the pain. Other than that just use the aloe and grin and bear it.
Unless it's bad enough that requires medical attention, Aloe Gel is about the only way to go.
I don't see it around much anymore, unfortunately, but there was an Aloe gel that had something else in it, possibly menthol or something, but once you applied it it gave that icy cool down feeling oh GOD was that stuff heavenly for a sunbrun. Try to find that.
Other than that, Aloe GEL. Not lotion. the lotion doesn't last long, but that thick green or white sunburn aloe gel is the best.
If it requires medical attention, Doctors have some GOOD stuff, it will make your skin turn silver, yes silver, but it will save your ass if it's a bad burn.
I went to costa smeralda in sardegna italy, put the creams on my body but forgot on my lrgs, after an hour of sleep my girlfriend woke me up saying my legs weer all red. Later that night couldn't walk.
Went to the drug store and they gave me a cream and after i put those on 3 hours later pain gone, but my legs are still lgiht redish.

Use aftersun lotion if you have it?

thanks for all the advice so far guys
heres what has happened so far:
- played bf2 all last night, which is good because in the sitting position playing a video game, my burned spots don't hurt.
- went to bed at 2, but just before i went to bed i put on my aloe gel because it gives me that icy cold relief so it helped me sleep
- when i was in bed i figured out the only comfortable position was flat on my back, so thats how i spent my time sleeping
- woke up at around 6 am due to pain, and got up to go put more aloe gel on, but the aloe gel i already put on had made my back sticky and so it was stuck to my bed sheets. it was like tearing up a bandage kind-of feeling.
- eventually got up and applied more aloe gel, went back to sleep in the same back position
- woke up at 10 am and took some Tylenol. my back was stuck to the bed again, so had to peel it up slowly; hurt like a bitch, though.
- took a 85 degree-ish bath to wash some of the stickiness off my back, plus it felt nice.
- sitting here at the computer, unable to do much of anything, except piss around on my computer all day
- and my mom wants me to see a doctor
the sunburn covers my whole front, back, shoulders, and a little bit of the top of my arms. It is starting to bubble a little at my shoulders.
i'll see how i feel in a bit, if i want to see a doctor or not.

I always get bbq'd at festivals,
Lignocaine is the shit. It is a topical local anaesthetic. Only use if you feel at numbness will be better than the pain you currently have, cause you will be numb.
Don't know if you can get it at a pharmacy/chemist. I just snooch mine from work, i am a nurse see.

I'm more brown than the average person because of my (summer holiday) job. I'm outside most of the time and I don't burn .
Yes because we all have walk-in freezers in our home.eskimo_sammyjoe wrote:

When i went on holiday on the second day i went to the beach, and was in the sea all the time, so my sun cream was useless, even if i had have put some on it wouldn't have worked
Anyway i was so burned i couldn't put a shirt on for days. My skin is still peeling now, actually, 3 weeks on. Skin diseases FTL
Worst holiday ever, first we got scammed by the taxi firm, then we actually got there. When i bother to post pics they will explain themselves, and the smell.
