Well this move could set the precedence for all Russia actions in the future. What many people are failing to realise is that the sleeping bear has re-awoken and is ready for a fight. I personally have no problem with Russia defending its borders like that because we all know that our countries would do the same.

I don't understand where Russia comes into this. Ok, it's at their borders, but thats not really much. Besides, Russia hasn't even recognized South Ossetias independence. Anyways, Georgias chances against Russia are pretty low, I mean, they even lost in Abkhazia.

Yeah, can't see why Russia are getting involved in this tbh. What do they want to do, get S.Ossetia independent, then annex it into Russian North Ossetia and make their country a little bigger?

the real problem with russia moving into a georgian province is because georgia is a long-time ally of the united states. if the conflict continues to escalate, and the US gets involved, there is no telling how bad this could be.

I seriously doubt it there will be a war between the US and Russia over this.

Georgia is asking the international community for mediation and any help is certainly slow to come.

I think that was the Serbs on Sarajevo or Tuzla, might be wrong though.
