More "What game should I get?"

Okay, I've got some budget that I'd like to spend on some new games...

I own a pretty nice PC, so high requirements are NP.
I also own a Wii (You damn wii haters), and own the classic nintendo games among a few others.

ATM I've got..

PC

-EVE
-BF2/packs
-COD4

...

Wii

-Mario Galaxy
-Zelda Twilight Princess
-Metroid Prime
-COD 3
-Tiger Woods 08
-Lego Star Wars
-Smash Bros Brawl

I'm not looking to buy...

"Scary" games like BioShock (not interested)
WoW Subscription (I did like the demo, but I can't play it due to moral obligations)
Another console

I am looking for...

Anything not listed above. COD 4 is getting a bit old, EVE isn't quite holding my attention at the mo, but I wouldn't like to "replace" it with a more or similarly time consuming MMO.

I was thinking about maybe TF2, but I don't want another game that will burn out after a while. I have been looking for quite a while for an MMO to play a long with EVE, but no idea of which one or where to start looking. It's been a while since I've done any flight sims or flight games, so maybe a cheap one of those would be appreciated.

The Orange Box. Great games. Portal and TF2 are amazing, and HL2 + Episodes have great stories.

Or if you wanna grow some balls, Dead Space in October.

I'm slightly confused by this box. It looks like there's 3 games (and two HL episodes), and it costs 30 bucks?

edit: I'm also not interested in the GTA series.

5 games. 40 bucks.

TF2 will last you a very long time. Most multiplayer Steam games will (besides HL:DM). MANY members here play it. You can get it off Steam.

Sounds like a really good deal (who the hell offers 5 games for 30 bucks? (amazon)).

Any MMO love? One time-payment is always cool, but I'm not expecting anything.

I used to be in the same position. I was never really into the Half-Life series and I hadn't (and still haven't) even played the first one. But I gotta say, HL2, despite being aggravating and repetitive at some points, is still a great game! (IMO I think it's over-hyped, but like I said, still a great game)

I've touched TF2 for about 5 minutes total and I still find the Orange Box a steal for just $40.

I have read through that thread, found nothing but "WoW sucks" "WoW is really good" "LOTR sucks" "LOTR is really good".

I find I'm not so picky when it comes to MMOs. Hell, I even liked runescape, until it bored me to death from non-member BS. Something that doesn't "end" (similar to how COD4 "ends" at level 55), would be nice.

Again, one-time payment is sexy, but I can't even think of an MMO that isn't monthly based.

They're amazing, seriously. I'd get the original HL too. I think it's only 5 bucks on steam?

and it takes like 2 minutes to be a steam member. Plus, you get Trackmania Nations Forever for free, which is very fun.

Okay, steam is downloading and I'll poke around for HL/Orange box.

No suggestions on one-time payment MMOs? I've heard that guild wars was a little bit more like "singleplayer", but hell everyone has something negative to say about some game, so..

Flight Game? For now, I'd go with FSX or LOMAC. That is, until HAWX comes out. FSX is more for a serious flight person though, like me.
