Vista can't use one kilobyte more RAM than XP. I hate when people say so.

Also, get more of what you already have.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Not at all overkill This is FatherTed (or fathearted, remember that, bitch?)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6820145175 will do 4-4-4-12 on stock volts and 4-4-4-10 on 2.1.

Oh, my apologies. Forgot about that. Thought you said "I have this 2x1GB".

OCZ is the best RAM. I have 8GB of it and it has worked wonders.

OCZ Reaper That is sex. If you don't want to spend that much then I advise :
OCZ Reaper 6400

You'll be fine with this tbh: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146049

Or if you think you will need better, this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146051

However it really only makes a difference if you OC or do more complicated stuff. A regular gamer will not notice the difference, at least not easily.

More people run XP 32 bit and Vista 64 bit than XP 64 bit and Vista 32 bit, if that's what you're referring to. If not, I don't know what you're on about.

That's exactly what I'm referring to. XP 32 can use exactly as much RAM as Vista 32. XP 64 just as much as Vista 64. People walk around thinking there's some magic RAM genie in Vista.

I do agree with that. Reaper is pretty good stuff. If you get the ones with the D9 chips, they overclock very, very well too.
