Well I might get the 4850 because of my PSU.  When I upgrade next tax season i'm only buying CPU, Mobo, and GPU(Maybe).  I just want my rig to play BF3 if it ever comes out.

I'd rather Crossfire two 4870s if I had that amount of money for GPU('s) and save some while I'm at it.

They seem to perform the same (Crossfire being a bit better), but I guess it's a case of space, power consumption and heat with Crossfire...

Impressive, though.

That price on Overclockers takes the piss, I might get an imported one from mainland Europe though, USA is too much of a pain in the ass to buy from

there's not just one product being launched, it's actually two.

The two products will be Radeon HD 4850 X2 and the Radeon HD 4870 X2.
yeah, that's really weird that i didn't hear about that before.

Would an Enermax Modu82+ 625W be enough to power an HD4870 1GB?

Yep with those 75 amps.  Why a 1GB?  512MB is enough, especially with GDDR5, unless you're gaming on a big screen HDTV or something.

I dont care about benchmarks etc i only hope it will beat GTX280, because i will never ever be abble to afford such expensive card
For me reading such articles is like Playboy magazine bunnies or Buggati Veyron review. I will never have it, so I dont care about it much...

ATI Radeon™HD4870X2 Overview

Believe it or not - the best just got better. For the first time ever, 2.4 teraFLOPS of graphics horse power, 1600 stream processors and 2 GB of GDDR5 memory have been combined to create the fastest and most powerful graphics card available today.1

Introduction
Dual TeraScale graphics engines work in tandem to deliver blazing frame rates, putting the power of graphics ‘supercomputing’ in the hands of extreme gamers.
1600 stream processors and 230GB/sec of memory bandwidth provide the brute power needed to tackle the most intense 3D games, even those with artificial intelligence, physics operations and tessellation.
Unparalleled anti-aliasing (AA) and anisotropic filtering delivers striking graphics with extraordinary realism so you can max out the settings of the most demanding next-generation games.
Regardless of platform, these graphics cards delivers the power needed to blaze through games while dynamically conserving energy at idle or when demand is low.
ATI CrossFireX™ technology with quad GPU support in dual mode offers superior scalability so you can take your game to new heights.
Watch the latest Blu-ray and HD movies play with incredible fidelity and have the freedom to edit videos and convert video formats at lightning-fast speeds.2
1. As of August 12th, 2008, the ATI Radeon™ HD 4870 X2 is the fastest, most powerful graphics card based on the 3DMark Vantage v.101 extreme top score of 6920.
2. HD capable monitor required.
