You know I really hate the people who come up with this kind of thing. Northern England ain't perfect, but neither's the South. Who ever came up with the idea that the entire population should move down south without thinking about trying to accomodate them needs to be beaten with a big stick. Basically suggesting to abandon the North half of the country .

Fuck that. People from all those places that are close to the border that are in the south (never been to Lincoln though) have stupid northern/non-southern accents. Therefore they're considered northerners

I have a better time understanding all the Polaks and shit around here than I do the northerners

To be honest I had heard Northern England was a shithole before I had ever been there. I then went there on a number of occasions and found it to be nice and to have an air of progress. Durham was a lovely little town; Newcastle was way better than I expected - fine bridges, monuments, a tidy city centre and a nice uni district with outdoor drinking; Manchester markedly improved since I visited it first, has a tidy city centre and was a great place to go out. I would have to say though that Scunthorpe and Hull did come across as shitholes I'm afraid.

Oh yes and the best thing about Northern England is that the people are way friendlier and more hospitable than those down south.

I'll admit that folk are more friendly up north. Except Jord because he is a faggot (actually pretty much all bf2s northerners are a bad representation amirite). And that girl I was talking about before because she was the biggest tease ever and ruined my life (well not really, but damn it)

Everytime I go up north it's always quite obvious that the places are no way near as rich as down here. But you get plenty of shitholes here in London too. You have shitholes right next to super expensive rich places.
