Bolt and Powell, two Jamaincans get into the final of the 100m, Bolt setting a new world record without even pushing all the way to the end, and then in the womens final Jamaica coming 1st 2nd and 3rd, seems a bit suspicious to me.

N'yha.

100m is an anaerobic event, meaning that the air you breathe during the race doesn't get to the muscles in time to get used. The time for blood to circulate the body (i.e get oxygen from the lungs and deposit it back at a muscle then come back to the lungs) is (about) 21 seconds.

Higher training where the air is thinner therefore less oxygen would only benefit you in races that last longer than 30 seconds, otherwise you would see very little effect.
