Will BF2 run on a 3.0+ GHz quad-core processor, with 8 GB RAM and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 280? Will it run faster, smoother, more efficiently, and look much better on those specs than the specs I currently have that I said in the first post in this thread? Will BF2 absolutely NOT run on Vista? I'm thinking that a DX10 supportable card with 1 GB RAM on it that is capable of running Crysis on very high spec at a high resolutioin at 15 frames per second would outperform a Radoen X-800 PRO 256 MB DX9.0 if it were running battlefield 2. Does Battlefield utilize more than one core? And will the game use more than 1 GB of ram?

Agree. If you can't get BF2 to work properly you don't have a chance when playing... I read his posts the last week and he doesn't seem to be very smart.

BF2 uses more than 1GB RAM. It will run faster on that than on an X800. BF2 will not use more than one core. BF2 will run on Vista, if you do it right.

Also, stop trying to show-off, and use your brain.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

The physics engine is really demanding.  I had to overclock my quad-core just to get decent fps, and even with my "superclocked" 8800 GTX I could only get 40 fps on average (it dropped to 30 during artillery strikes and sometimes I had odd glitches when tanks materialised above my head and killed me).  Also, I'm told that the higher your "specs" are (I assume they mean magnification on glasses), the faster you heal.  I mean, there was this guy who told me that the med pack didn't even finish - it stayed there after he healed and it was like a instant healing station!

Oh yeah, and bf2 crashes a lot if you don't have at least 16 gigabytes of ram and Windows Millenium Edition (notice that Millenium is the newest, as it was made for the whole next 1000 years!!!!)

It will run fine on multi-core systems, but you need to disable the extra cores while running the game.

Also, Panda...that sounds like a heap of bollocks to me (the medpack bit)
