Need a wee bit of product advice.

K well I've received a free processor from my brother and it's a AMD2 2.8Ghz Dual, which doesn't work on my current Motherboard.

I was looking at this because it supports my current GPU (7600GT AGP) and the processor. Freezer said I'd be better off selling my GPU and buying a PCI-E mobo, and a new GPU.

So if I was to do this which mobo and which GPU would I get? I'd have about £30-£40 ($60-$80) for the mobo and about the same for the GPU.

I have 4GB of DDR ram sitting doing nothing, as either way I'd need to get DDR2...

@ DU, sorry it's in his room, locked, and he's currently out, AMD2 is all I know .

There's no such thing as AMD2. Do you mean AM2 or X2?

Hard to find a mobo + ram + GPU for very cheap. A mobo would be £40-50, RAM £30 and GPU £50-80, if you want something that actually beats a 7600GT by reasonable amounts

Also I do not know AMD mobos very well at the moment.

I thought DDR2 was quite cheap since it's still in mass production.

Should have seen the trouble I had trying to find DDR RAM. Bloody expensive too.

So could you stick a few parts together for me?
