Hey guys I found a couple of computers for great prices here's the link and tell me what you guys think.

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications … CatId=2646

If you guys find some computer for say under $500 please post them. But make sure they meet the requirements for BF2 and if you guys have the same computer tell me what you run it on as far as graphics and how it performs. Thanks.

I wouldn't get that. Look for a PC on Newegg, or even better look for some PC parts.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Of course, just a matter of $. Ask here first, though, so you don't buy any shit.

Its always better to get a quality PSU, it runs all the components so you the importance of it. Spend a bit more on a good CPU cooler, if not for the OCing at least for the silence.
That mobo is a no go. P5E or Maximus.

use these settings, and change geometry to either medium or low if your system can't handle it

Are there any other options for a good mobo without having to spend $770 on a computer. Maybe just as good but lower price. After all my parents said I could get the computer if I could come up with the money. I could come up with 550-650 but not over 700.

Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.93GHz 2.93GHz,1.0 GB of RAM
^There's your problem.  2 GB of RAM for decent/semi-fast loading times, an 8800GT to run BF2 on HIGH with 8X AA.

Celeron is garbage, most well-known PC brands rip you off, and NEVER purchase AlienWare.

Life Tip: Learn the components of a PC, learn your operating system, and learn how to build.  You'll better your life instantly.

I would definitely pick a 500W PSU, and the graphics card in that setup sucks. You should get at least a 8600GT, preferably 9600GT to run everything fine. HD3850 also goes fine.

The HD3450 is not going to run BF2 at high settings, it's probably worse than your current graphics card.

Having a card capable of running it maxed with 8XAA - twice, to run it on all low 800x600. The only thing that provides anything that would impact in the game is dynamic shadows.
it's not really on 800x600. it's running at 1920x1200.

i've always played on low, and i've always played pretty well. high settings seem to make me have worse hitreg, but it's probably just in my head.

Graphics settings have nothing to do with hitreg whatsoever.

That's just the setup you start from. You can't link to that, that's why I didn't.

The only thing is I would build a computer myself but I only know somewhat of tech stuff. I know the more RAM you have the quicker your computer will run. The one guy that could build me a computer is a a**hole and last time he worked on my PC he hacked it and put viruses in it. I don't know what mobo's are better than others but I'm trying to learn there's ALOT I don't know and I've started to learn. I just think it would be much easier to build a computer like online.

On the Ibuypower website what equipment would allow me to run BF2 on high settings. If its extra money so what I will earn in about 9 months.
What other motherboards are there that would run just as well but not such expensive. What about an [SLI] Asus P5N-D Nvidia nForce 750i SLI Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE-1394, Dual PCI-E MB? I just don't want to spend $150 on a mobo.
