Just a nifty cheap little thing for work.

Pentium T2330 1.6GHz Dual Core
2GB Ram
120GB HDD

Problem is, it came with Vista Premium (*groan*), which would be fine, except the lappy isn't really powerful enough to run it well. I begrudge having a slow, clumsy laptop just because MS want to line their pockets.

I'm going to replace Vista with XP to squeeze a bit of performance out of it, but I've lost my XP install disks from my old PC.

So the question is, how do I make a bootable XP disc? I already have a valid key and license for multiple PCs, I just need an actual physical disc to actually install XP...

If you own an XP license, it should even be legal to download a clean XP install disk from any source.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Alright, figured it out now.

I just downloaded an ISO via bittorrent, all is working. It certainly runs a lot faster with XP now I've gotten rid of Vista.
