Found this in my garden. The house was built circa 1853. It's out of metal, it was underground about 1 foot.

Oh yeah, will do. No, no car wrecks in my backyard. No metal whatsoever apart from this in fact. the real reason why I was digging is b/c I needed to landscape. When we moved in, the entire place was a mess of dead trees, massive undergrowth and general ugliness. So I had to dig out a stump, and presto!
