For the millionth person its called Richard I know Dick is in some countrys but Dick is so not a name I would refer myself to.

As an admin myself the odd slip up can be overlooked but the last thing i want to see scrolling up my screen all day is sad losers typing "F*ck you" and "wan**r etc etc etc
Like many posts have said if you don't like the NO swear servers stay the hell off them and quit whining!!!

i've been to a lot of servers that have their language settings so strict that when you type out "damn, i'm sorry" it warns you.  if you play as a USMC squad leader and use the voice command to say "sorry," it says plain as day "Damn, Sorry."

What is the first thing, blowing someones head off?  Much more kind and gentle is pretending to blow someones head off instead of swearing.

The sad thing is that the shortened form of Richard, Dick was adopted as slang for the male genitalia due to dick being a common name for males, as the male discription of a fowl, cock has.  In the end they are just words.  If I told you all that the word "gonga" was slang for vagina in Australia, and then called you one would you be offended?  I have read somewhere (but do not know if it is true, perhaps someone can enlighten me?) that fuck is an abreviation for Fornicating Under the Consent of King, which dated back to mediaval times, with people starving etc, you could not procreate without permision.  So when someone says to me "You Fuck!", I think that it's cool that the king of some country or place has givern me licence to "Get it on".  Makes it easy with missus, "We have to tonight dear, even if you have a headache. I was told today the King has ordered it!"  I actuauly wonder where and how did all these swear or offensive words originate.  Words like sh*t, T*rd, the big C word that women hate, where do they come from? If I rembember right the term "curse word" or cursing when using such word comes from the old belief you would be cursed if you said SHIT.  While I am here my BF2 buddies in the US may be able to help me.  I was told the word CRAP comes from the name John Crapper who invented the first flushing toilet.  Is this a load of Crap?

and about the swearing on servers yes its gay and retarded specially the admins that kick you for it and i agree you're playing a game where both people are fighting each other killing each other stabbing each other with knives being shot at being blown up by grenades and c4 being run over with vechiles tanks being blown up and shot by apcs and tanks and being blown up by helicopters and jets and murdering each other but magicly you cant say any swear word haha.

Whats more funny is when you go on a server "This is a family server no swearing!"

haha thats just like american mentality they dont mind if you play violent video games with blood and guts murdering people but if theres swearing or even one drop of nudity oh no lets all freak out.

I think it's stupid that i was TK'ed 3 times on purpose by the same dude and nothing happens to him, but when i call him an asshole i get booted off the server. im 25 years old, if i want to fucking sware i can fucking sware god dammit. ive heard my parents saying these words all my life, it doesn't bother me if some kid wants to say shit in the game im playing.

I thought dick wasn't used as a proper name, but simply a nickname? Everyone who've been called that nickname that i've known's real name is richard. Richard - Rick - Dick.
