Thoughts on "Time" servers?

Lately I've been coming across these. A "Time" server is basically where you just join and idle in a tank or something and rack up time for your kit/army/vehicle, etc.

What are your thoughts on these kinds of servers? Is it stat padding, even though you're not gaining any points? Has EA deemed these illegal; should they or shouldn't they?

I stopped caring for stats long ago and I care even less if its legal or not and so does EA.

they want to pay the price on servers just so they can sit there .............. fine by me, its their money

so they are ranking up their time, who cares ............ doesn't affect me at all if someone has 1 hour or 1000 hours

then again I havn't played in a very long time

But, if anything, it's just making your SPM go down, along with KPM in whatever vehicle and kit. All you get from these servers are chances to get awards, which have no bearing on the game whatsoever (whereas by ranking up you are able to unlock more weapons and get better chances at being commander).

[I'm just trying to play devil's advocate here. I'm currently on the fence on this issue.]

Time servers are pretty retarded. I don't understand why you would want to do it, seeing as if you idle the several hundred hours for kits/vehicles/armies your SPM would be atrocious (I think an SPM of 0.05 would get more attention then expert armor). And you can't just set it and walk away, you'd have to keep checking up on it to see if the round ended, where you'd have to set yourself up again.....

I dunno. They paid their money, so they can do that if they want.

Note for bf3: Don't have any awards/badges/ribbons require such a gay thing as time that can be easily cheated and is pointless (unless you really suck and barely got the other real requirements right before or after you got the time requirements done).

D: i found my new servers here, i have only 300 hours of playing time and too many points and 4 stars.
I would kill someone to have those kind of servers around, they dont make you unfairly to the top or something, there not annoying etc.

and its fail ass fail if the admin is afk, i guess you have a new "worst enemy" within day's.

btw its fail to need 1080 for 1 star and more for 2,3 star's just lay the point bar higher, the same for medals

That seems pointless. You're KDR and SPM doesn't shout HUZZA for that. And it must be better to actually play and not trail too much when it comes to some medals as heli/armor/jets. They require 100 hours and 5000 kills. Must be dull to have 100 hours and maybe 1-2000 kills 'cause you've been padding.
