I need to buy a new phone.

At the moment it's between

Sony Ericsson W890i

Or

Samsung G600

Having a good camera and being a good mp3 player(obviously with an extra memory card, shouldn't cost that much) is a must.

I read that there is delay when you take pictures with the G600, while the Sony doesn't have  flash light.

Any other suggestions, within this price range? Also, the network must be Vodafone, unless you convince me otherwise.

Thanks

My vote goes to W890i. I wanted to buy it but couldn't wait for it so long so I got W910i instead and now I'm only buying Sonys when it comes to mobile phones.

This specific one is excellent. The previous versions ( with the touch sensitive keys ) were awful, but this phone is great.

That's too expensive, I can't even find the pay as you go price, just contract, which I don't like.

Well, I found it, £280.

Just remember that the sony requiers their own brand of memory stick, which often costs quite a bit more... As a one time purchase not a HUGE deal but you will be spending more for memory.

Also, while I hope this doesn't apply to that one... The last sony Walkman phone I looked at maxed out at 2gig, pretty weak for a phone advertised as a music player.

Just make sure to research the sonys max capabilities...

My W580i has a 1GB stick in it (took me long enough trying to FIND a place that would sell the M2 card), and I can fit a few albums on it, and still have memory left over.  It's a music player, not an iPod.  If you want storage space and music, get one of those.  This is a phone, doubling as a music player.

Anyways, I'd go with the SE, they're decently made phones, and usually have pretty good cameras too.

As I said the C902 is awesome, but it's still too expensive. I might as well buy the once with the touch screen and hard drive.

Regarding the memory, if you look at the link in the OP, the Sony Memory Stick Micro M2 4GB costs £15, which is as big as my mini ipod, and that's less than half full

I am leaning toward the Sony Ericsson W890i, but the lack of flash makes the camera kinda useless.

Not really a fan of Samsungs but I would go for it better spec camera and cheaper memory sticks. If you want to listen to music on your phone I would definately lean more towards Sony I think you can use the side buttons to change track and the music player software isn't too shabby.

Is this a good deal?

http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_con … ;NetKey=11

First 12 months for £15, and the remaining 6 months for £30.

Complete the opposite of my OP, contract and O2

I have a question about the contract, if you don't use the 400mins say in a month. Would  it get added to your next month? Same with the number of texts.

Seems alright nice amount of minutes and texts. No the texts and minutes don't rollover unless it states. Decent phone when you get used to paying 15 for the first 12 months you feel the squeeze for the last 6. Usually they will call you up before the last 6 months and offer you something new.

Don't forget to call up your provider one month before you contract ends otherwise they will charge you for another month. Ask for you pac code and they will give you some good offers to prevent you switching.

Yea those last six months are pain in the ass.

Shame those remaining minutes and texts don't rollover for the following months.

400 minutes and 500 texts that's more than enough being honest, I'm a text addict I barely touch my minutes. I had to ration my texting though 500 minutes and only 100 text sucks bad but I can't really argue with £13 a month for the full contract.
