Have been looking at the Antec 1200 but am in doubt seeing as the 900 was a bitch to work with according to people on this forum, also have looked at the Coolermaster Cosmos but i can't buy that without a PSU locally     ... (have typically just bought a new PSU)

Am looking for a well aired midi atx chassis seeing as i don't want to reinforce my desk for supporting a huge bigtower ... any thoughts ?

Go for the 1200, I got mine two weeks ago.

You will need a phillips screwdriver to take off the side panels though, that didn't really bother me because I knew I needed one for my heatsink anyway. Just make sure you have one handy.

I love the case actually, it's quiet even with all fans on high, it looks nice and keeps my shit cold.

And it was good to work with ? ... how did you connect all the fans, an own controller ?

I'll also vote for the P182. It's a terrific case.

BTW, it's "which" one, not "witch" one.

linky to review of P182. If you're looking for a quiet and well ventilated case, pretty much nothing beats that case.

On the 1200, there is it's own fan controller on the back where you can control the speeds of the two rear fans and the top fan, low - medium - high. You can also turn off the led's on the same panel located at the rear of the case.

Wish my 900 had these features tbh. It has fan speed controllers but inside the case

Well if you're going for excessively large, why not a Gigabyte Aurora?

The 1200 he was looking at is a fulltower, so he described it wrong.

I would also go with Pos's recommendation of the Cosmos series.  TT Armors are good too.

They hang about 3 inches off of each 120mm fan, and the 200mm fan. Just follow the thin black cords coming from the fans and you'll find them

I just got a P182 like, 3 days ago, and the first thing I noticed after I got it set up was... my clock ticking. Seriously, this thing is fucking quiet.

Case: $10
Dremel: $100
Leds'n'shit: $10

Hours and hours of fun: Worth $120.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I have a P180 and love it. Would definitely recommend the P182!

Depends on how much you want to spend.

This is the case I have.  Lots of room, expandable, removable mobo tray, completely tool less design, and far more ventilation and airflow than any of the Antec chassis you were looking at.  Take note that this case is quite large.

And yes I know you can't order from Newegg, I just wanted to show you the case.

Really?  I've not had any noise or vibration issues with it at all.  Obviously you can make it loud if you don't choose your fans wisely because there is a spot in the HDD cage for a 120mm, a 120mm in the rear, the top, and 4 x in the door.

noooooooo, not a 1200!

if it's anything like the 900, it's a bitch to work in, hard to cable manage, fucking stupid, etc.

Get a P182. Why?
- Extremely silent
- Lots of room
- Epic cable management
- Looks great
- Awesome airflow
- Extremely silent

If you want easy fan controlling, just make some 5V/12V switches yourself - much more fun
