Now looking for something for College...

as I don't have too much knowledge with laptops I might as well ask here a bit... don't come with a uber Laptop because I don't need it...

I only need to know if this thing is actually any good or just crap...

if you care about stuff it might not break off.... might come in handy with some of my classes. doesn't only rotate, you can like put it down and write on it (with those pens) touch screen...

My brother bought the same one and its pretty damn nice. It does come with a bunch of worthless software just like all pre-made computers. Oh and his his had 4gigs of ram.

The tablet software is pretty neat, it has a hand writing program to adjust to your writing style.

if I actually went to uni I would say uni but I am not going to uni, I am going to college.

Take a look at a user review.

The tablet function is pretty cool, I guess. Also despite having integrated graphics, the 3200 is pretty much equal to the 8400m GS (huge tbh); not to say you'll play Crysis at ultra high, but you can do some light gaming. It's not a bad price @ 899 (Euros?) which is about 1200 USD. What you have to remember, is that if this was a normal notebook, of course paying 1200USD/899Euros would be paying too much. But there are other factors than just the internal hardware: in this case, tablet function/touchscreen, ultraportable form factor both add to the price a bit.

Go to a store and check out a tablet lappy, see if you would actually USE the tablet function. If you think you would really use it, go for the one in the OP; if not (and assuming you will be using this for Word/Web) look at sub-notebooks like EEE, Mininote and Aspire One

Well I just got the Acer Aspire 5920 for college too. I took the cheap version as I didnt care for playing games on it since I have my desktop for that. I think it is extremely sexy, the specs are bit less though and the screen is bigger (15.4'') But I love the thing, it only is €579 at mediamarkt and I even got it for €520

Oh btw..if you want the specs:

CPU: Dual Core 1.83 ghz
RAM: 3072 MB
HD: 160 GB
GFX: Somekind of useless Media Accelerator X3100.

So yeah it doesnt quite have the specs as the HP one but then again its much cheaper and its only for school work anyways right?
