I can only assume they are getting ready for their lawsuit.

I hope they get millions from the red commie bastards that made that piece of shit.

The parents have a right to assume that there will be no fatalities at soccer practice brought on from shoddy equipment.

Geeze dood, there are sane limits to personal responsibility.

Uhhhhh ATG, the kid was 20 months old, hardly old enough to drop off at soccer practice.

I can not think of a single time where you are safe to assume your toddler does not need looking after when not in the crib a sleep. I hope you can't either

Yes.

We are talking about a nation that ships out lead contaminated toys and poison tooth paste.

We should send them some plague infested blankets, like we did to the indians.

Different issue ATG, and I agree, however, to let a baby play in a net? C'mon

Who'd have thought that a toddler could get themselves killed? Babies know more than we do let them watch us so that we dont get stuck in a net. It's the parent's fault or whoever was watching the child. If someone left a gate to a pool open and a baby drowned in it would you blame the pool manufacturer?

Good point and in America? Yes, we would sue the pool maunfacturer. Here in America we have no problem assigning blame for our problems. We find it much easier and profitable to blame someone else for all our woes. Never, NEVER, is anything our own fault.

Parent's fault, not the net.

Well if the child was very young then yes the parents are to be blamed for lack of supervision in this case but that doesn't detract from the fact that the nets were badly designed.

I certainly was not supervised every time I played soccer growing up...I mean it's not like it's archery or clay pigeon shooting.

You're either joking, or you've turned clinically insane. Now I don't like your average Chicom either, but they're one of the last guys you can blame this time round. All they were doing is manufacturing the net in accordance to the design details given to them by Mitre, an English company.

Also it's not the net, or the chicoms, or the English Euro-devils fault that this happened. It's the parents and the toddlers fault. Moreso the parents, it's pretty stupid to let your kid play in nets. They're obviously going to get tangled in them, at the very least.

Now if the goal posts of this goal was painted with lead paint and other evil things, then you could blame them chicoms.

My kids nearly 4 and I don't let him out of my sight for a second. Parents lack of responsibility caused this not a net.

What's the big deal here? The parents are clearly at fault, but it's not a bad thing that the company is redesigning the net to stop this happening in future. However no one is being sued here. Until the parents sue, you can probably quit bitching.

at that age my daughter would not have been alone long enough to die like that. unless I'm missing some important detail about why the child was alone long enough for this to happen I blame the parents. but thanks to the sue happy culture I'm sure they will be reimbursed for their carelessness

What they didn't put in there is it was during the hurrican just sweeped the little tike up.. I have to say Darwinism at work, stupid parent make stupid kids. It's defintly personal responsibilty, when a child drowns in a swimming pool does the pool company get sued?

It is the parents fault, and I'm sure they hate themselves and think there bad parents. However it was an accident. If you and your child were crossing a road and you were holding there hand, and for a split second they managed to wriggle free and ran and got hit by a bus. It would be your fault an I'm sure you would be guilty, but you're not a bad parent.

Why should a game legal net be redesigned at the cost of untold millions because parents refuse to watch their kids? Her we go again about who is responsibile for our personal failures. Someone to blame for our own stupidity, it would appear, is easy to find in America.

Any bets on how long it takes the parents to sue or if they will sue?
