Well, I ended up getting a replacement wireless LX300 set from logitech (long story) to replace a malfunctioning mouse with my old set. Anyway, after installing the new KB/M, i noticed a lag problem with BF2. I call it lag because i don't know what else to call it. If i am running for a while on a map, if i let go of the keys, it keeps running for anyware between 10-30 seconds. I thought it was an issue with my new keyboard set, so i put my old set back on my computer but had the same problem. I cleared the BF2 cache, im running the newest drivers for all of my hardware, and i have not noticed this problem in any other game. My computer if running XP SP2. THe game is BF2 v1.12+BF2: SF.
it could be that its not your keyboard at all. go into video settings and adjust your view distance scale see if that makes a diffrence.
I do not think it is my settings since they have not changed at all. Before, everything was working fine. Do you think a game reinstall might help?
it might. lets elaborate on whats goin on though. ru having to wait a while for the keyboard to catch up or just a few secs for the fps to catch on. or is it something like a a key is getting stuck and u cant stop headin in a spacific direction(even though the key isnt stuck)?
What happens is if i am running (w is my forwards key), and then let go, the guy on the screen keeps running for a while. Sometimes it locked up my keyboard and mouse. I origonally thought that this was a problem with the replacement set logitech sent me, but i tried the old set and it did the same thing. It did this to me on both single player and multiplayer.
Well, i have reinstalled BF2, but the problem is still there. I am starting to run out of ideas.
Well, the problem doesn't seem to be as noticeable in BF2:SF. The best way to discribe the problem is it is like a key is stuck down, but none of my keys are stuck down. I have not noticed any signs of this problem in any other games.
well.. i guess it could be the keyboard problem
but i'm thinking more of bf2 lag.. like how it gets stuck when it lags (happens to me sometimes)

It does it to me in single play and i have tried 2 different keyboards.
Wireless keyboard/mouse for gaming = the sux
I would bet there is some sort of interference that is messing with the signal

Hello,
I have the same problem.
I hit the w-key (forward),
then i hit the s-key (back)
and the guy is running forward about 3 or 5 seconds.
It does not happen always,
but it doesn't happen when i play BF2:SF.
What have i done?
2 Weeks ago everything was okay.
Then i reinstalled my complete pc and after that i had this problem.
To solve the problem, I tried:
* game new installed (BF2, BF2:SF, Patch 1.12)
* game new installed (BF2, Patch 1.01, Patch 1.02, Patch 1.03, BF2:SF, Patch 1.12)
I still have the problem.
I don't know what I/we can/should do.
Edit: I don't have a Wireless keyboard/mouse
Keyboard PS2 = Logitech Keybord Deluxe or so (about 8 years old)
Mouse USB = Logitech G5

Well, i kinda ruled out the interfearence by useing a wired keyboard. This issue has forced me to stop playing BF2.Rathji wrote:

Have you tried latest kb/mouse drivers from logitech? Their products are great but their drivers are the pits.. Might be worth seeing if you can get latest ones.
yes, i have installed the latest kb/mouse-drivers
Yesterday i installed the kb-driver again, but the problem still exists.
I will test it with the catalyst 5.13-drivers,
because that's the only difference between my system after the reinstallation. (Up-to-date I have the 6.1)
