I find the characterization of the Assembly of God church to be interesting. My grandparents attended the AoG church for as long as I can remember. Not once have I seen anyone speaking in tongues...in fact, in mainstream AoG, it's considered kind of odd.

Yet no one scrutinizes the Church of Christ...Obama's denomination of choice. To some denominations of Christianity, the CoC is considered kind of "out there". Not a word about Obama's church, though. Or Biden's. Or McCain's.

I guess I'm just being partisan by expecting even-handed treatment of all candidates by the media.

I attended one year of private school through them. The worst they ever did (some of the staff) was quietly persecute kids of different faiths.

Seems pretty clear to me that she's saying "pray that our national leaders have made the right decision, that it is in line with God's plan". That's not quite the same thing as saying "the Iraq War was a task from God".

Since when did God's plan include wars? Or is this another crusade?

God's plan as a whole, not that God has separate, individual plans. It's a trite phrase used to relate to the audience at that particular church...nothing more.
