I have a Sony Ericsson Z550i
https://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/file/1.114622.1192975530/Z550i_product_quality_image_1.png
I've had this phone for a while now, always worked fine, but this morning before school it wouldn't start, it showed a white screen then shut off again. I decided to leave it and try it again when I got back from school. It's still the same, white screen then nothing.

Warranty is over, someone got an idea what I can do?

Nope, didn't get any cables when I bought the phone, only got a memory SD card that goes in the phone... But that's of no use now

Don't you have some local "fix your mobile in 30 min" shops?

Why should I buy a new one while there's still a possibility of fixing it? Doesn't hurt to ask if I could fix it O.o

Because Sony Ericsson designed the phone to fail outside the warranty period so they can charge you muchos euros to fix it, making buying a new one from them a better option.

It is pointless trying to resist the Corporate Plan.

It will cost you more to fix it than to get a better and nicer phone....

Well no, I was wondering if there was something I could do myself to fix it. AKA Costless stuff

from what you've described there isn't a chance you can fix it.  If you're going to get it professionally fixed you might as well get a new/used one.

seems like a no brainer.

Actually it could be a faulty sim card or that the battery needs to be replaced like DU mentioned ... if non of those it truly is cheaper to buy a new one ...

Buy a new phone, off the shelf, pay as you go, with all these features. £80
Stick it in a shop for half an hour, get it working for another year. £5.

Yup, seems like a no brainer.

Don't know anyone with the same phone I have a feeling it's not the battery though, cause it turns on every single time...
