I just been on Wake island and op clean sweep ranked server and this mentalist was in a tank and then an apc and the turret thing was spinning round super fast!? What, why and how?
its due to a shitty optical mouse!!! i suffer the same probs with mine its dammned annoying specially if ur about to shoot someone!!!!!!....got him in me sights .......ready on the trigger and .....mouse spaz...aaarrrrrrg!
they do it to get inside buildings.
don't know how they get that turret spinning so fast (prob really sick rolling the mouse) and actually i don't want to know. I only know that when I see it I leave the server.

Yeah, this is an exploit. You see it, you should leave the server, or report it to Admin. If you are an Admin: ban!
wtf are u guys on? and can i have some?...its a crappy OPTICAL MOUSE ERROR...i get it all the time you cant do shite all when ur turret starts spinning..sept be sick ....i have to pick my moise off the mat and reset it before i can use me tank apc turret...it is not an exploit...i have a LABTEC MOUSE and it does this shit all the time and its bloody annoying...im gonna go back to rollerball mice even if it means cleaning the damn thing every 10 mins...ive lost count of the many times this error has cost me a flag or a kill......aaarrrrrrg bloody mouse spaz i tell you!!!!-=SoF=-Rip wrote:

i know a guy who has sick amounts of hours in armor. 43392341 . i met him at a LAN party after knowing his clan mates online for a number of years. i was astounded to find out that he uses a TRACKBALL for all his gaming...except planes. nearly all the time he was in armor he was in a 3rd person view so he could see people trying to sneak up on him from behind. it was insane how fast he could spin that turret around when someone approached from the rear. you would think that 3rd person view would have a nasty effect on your aim, but he seems to have made the adjustment.
Fahrenheit : drop some dough for a decent mouse then. i've been using a logitech mx518. the ability to switch the scroll speed on the fly is awesome. it's simply the best i've used. you can get one from monarchcomputer.com for $39. they range upto $50 at some places so shop around.

I do this sometimes when im not in combat just to give people something to look at. I just thumb my mouse sensitivity all the way to maximum and start swirling. I can get going pretty fast.

My mouse freezes every now and then, all i can do it move, and i cant use my mouse to aim lol. happened today, so i had to go and put new batteries in
shitty software for your mouse. my mouse has never done that and its optical. but an older mouse did a lot.
IF you have a optical mouse don't use a mousepad. that will usually solve that problem. I haven't had that problem in over a year and a half and that time frame coincided with when i quit using a mousepad with my optical mouse.
It is an exploit where the losers spin the turret really fast and then get thrown through the collision mesh of
a building then they can shoot out and not get shot.... like everyone said just leave the server... and im not on anything... i wish i had some beer though... lol

Yes, the mx-518 is an awsome mouse, adding the sensitivity switching on the fly is Allmost as big as when they put the wheel on the mouse.
I have an Optical mouse and have no trouble with it. I use a Logitech MX510 and an Icemat for the mouse pad.
I use a trackball and it's nothing to do with how fast you can spin the tank round, put your mouse sensitivity at max and you'll be faster than a spinning top.
I saw this post last night at work and said wtf are they talking about, then woke up this morning, joined a server, and sure as hell saw a tank doing this while driving. I couldn't beleive what I was seeing.

If they turn around a lot without control its the optic mouse problem as they said, had one to and the mouse was really cheap. But ask them about it before you ban him.
I've never seen this that would be funny to see a apc or tank spinning around real fast i'd probably stare and laugh.

Although I did see a guy shooting the 50 cal turret on top with unhuman accuracy...WHILE HIDING IN THE TURRET!!!!!. Slaughtered most of our men before I could kill him with 2 sniper shots to his hands (his hands were the only thing not hacked away safely inside the tank) Headshots are nothing in comparison to handshots with an M95.
I would call the spining a glitch from a mouse if the tank is spinning out in the middle of nowhere or in combat. I would call a kickvote on the guy if he is spining next to a building.

Now that I am seeing it more often, I am starting to beleive it is a hack.
well thats a new one on me lol but i wouldnt do it even though i now know....for me its just a cheap mouse/bad driver problem and as soon as me student loan comes through im gonna buy a better one....it happens in most vehicles cept plains and slicks....makes me feel queezy after a few beers...had the same problem on DODs when proned as a gunner...facing enemy one sec then a complete 180 degree turn facing the wall....never seen anyone do it...oh well!Anima05 wrote:
