It looks like the defender grabbed his foot before he caught the ball, which is why i thought it was more like pass interference. He would be down by contact if he was tripped by the ankleWhiplash wrote:

I don't see pass interference or at least the DB couldn't interfere the pass that much because WR jumped backwards!
