Ok chaps i'm investigating a little thing i noticed regarding EAX implementation.
I've got an X-Fi and so has another clanmate, also another of the clan has an Audigy 4.
now we begin
Settings required:
High/Ultra High
Hardware/Creative X-Fi
EAX ENABLED << the major one.
Test 1
Open BF2 start any map with a tank, get in and move around a bit NOTE: the sound implementation.. does it just sound more or less like it does from the outside if your close to it? or does it sound as though your inside it?
now open special forces do the same... does it sound different/better/the same?
----
Test 2
Open bf2, with a friend if possible now get your friend to use something like the support kit and run around firing then go behind a wall.. does it change? or reverb differently?
Now do the same on a special forces map? does the sound get dampened? or change at all?
----
Test 3
Open BF2 start local server, with ff OFF, place C4, stand on C4 explode c4, any wierd distortion or sound like it's underwater or changed?
Repeat on special forces? notice a BIG difference?!
Conclusion-
if you have the same eax as in bf2 that you do in special forces... could you please post your setup. if they are different... can we PLEASE find out why?
i mean i know special forces is a spanky update and all but if the original has the EAX implemented, then why isn't it? unless i have a bug or problem? Yet in sf the eax is SPOT on..
i'd apreciate you guys posting regarding this because i'm hunting out fixes and stuff for this also regarding crashes with Audigy 2's and the openal drivers and dll's in the game.
also how many people have water splashes from bullets now? they seem to have disapeared on some maps?
