Unlocks are a funny thing and in my opinion totally subjective. One man's M95 is another man's G3. I would agonize over which unlock to get, read this thread and that thread, this opinion vs. that opinion. At the end of the day what I really discovered is that its not the weapon, it is the person using it. I hated the M95 when I got it, until I started to learn to use it, now I select it exclusively on ceratin maps and I get a decent amount of kills. I heard how bad the G3 was, "don't get it, it's useless..." and now that I have it I think it is a great weapon. When I go toe to toe with someone, usually in Karkland and I have the G3, I usually come out ahead 70% of the time. Bottom line, I don't think there is any cure-all, catch-all weapon, I think get the skill with any weapon and they are all good.

I unlocked the G3 so I could get grenades as Assualt. You are right though the gun itself sucks(20 rd clip).
I unlocked the G36e because I loved the G36c. I love both guns over the stock and feel it is better to use the unlocks because you get familiar with the one gun. It is being in tune with your equipment that makes the most difference. Learn how a gun proforms and sticking with it my be better than always trying to find the "best" gun. Some of the best snipers/riflemen in the world use a boltaction with open sites. That is because they know there tools. Like OSS-CAPT-SPEIRS wrote there is no cure-all, catch-all weapon.
