So the stock cooler is just really loud. Especially since I moved it from the desk and the wall, to my desktop-- right next to the wall.

Im thinking something that is quiet, efficient, economical, and good quality/ reviews... Any good suggestions guys?
Spoiler (highlight to read):
besides the inevitable system upgrade suggestion ; )

Its not worth it to get an aftermarket cooler. The cooler its self would be nearly the amount of the card if you wish to sell it.

Accelero S1. They're $20, and should cool your card passively.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You can't find the R1 anywhere. Plus, the ccompatibility is the same as the R2, with the exception of 3870 single-slot version won't fit without modding.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6835118116 should fit nicely.

Cheap, and great cooler.

I have one on my old X800 GTO. Used to get to 80-90*C at load with the stock cooler, now doesn't get over 55*C at load.
